Transylvania University's Habitat for Humanity Campus Chapter is relatively new on the scene; yet, through overwhelming support fromthe campus community and the generosity of a grant from State Farm, they were able to co-sponsor their first home project this past year.

Since then, the chapter has flourished with the ultimate goals of advocating and educating Lexington Habitat for Humanity's mission, as well as providing opportunities for students to lend a helping hand in the community through street cleanups, visit to the ReStore, and participating in new home and deconstruction projects. Maintaining these volunteer opportunities allows chapter members to work community engagement and advocacy into their already busy schedules.

Through increased volunteer opportunities and memberships, the Transylvania University Habitat for Humanity Campus Chapter would like to spread the word that anyone can make a difference with the Habitat for Humanity organization through dedication and the willingness to get your hands a little dirty.
