Responsibilities of Sponsors
A sponsor or co-sponsor collaborates with LHFH and partner families to build a home. They are asked to:
Commit either 100% of funds or an approved combination of cash and in-kind donations towards the construction of the home. Partial sponsorships may also be arranged.
Recruit and fully utilize a team of volunteers from within their organization.
Work together with the partner family during the construction of their home.
Participate in/or attend media events for the promotion of the build, incudling the home dedication ceremony.
Work closely with LHFH staff, particularly the Construction Supervisor to establish a schedule for the build.
Responsibilities of Lexington Habitat for Humanity
LHFH agrees to (depending upon the scale and nature of sponsorship):
Recognize Sponsors in printed materials relating to the project.
Recognize Sponsors in signage placed at the construction site.
Direct 100% of sponsorship funds to home construction costs.
Collaborate in the development of promotional materials. In all cases of advertising and written materials, LHFH and Sponsors will mutually agree upon usage of respective logos and other copyrighted materials.
Provide construction supervision and technical support thorugh the project.
Create a rewarding experience for the Sponsor and their respective volunteers

Making the Commitment
If you decide to become a sponsor of a Lexington Habitat for Humanity home, you will be asked to:
Sign a Covenant Agreement with LHFH, which solidifies your commitment to the project as well as describes the specific responsibilities of all parties.
Submit a worksheet that lists individuals from your organization who will represent you throughout the project.
Respond in a timely manner to all requests made by LHFH staff pertaining to the project.

Creating a Sponsorship Team
While Sponsors provide much-needed financial support to fulfill LHFH's mission, they must also give their time and talents. Sponsors will be asked to assemble a volunteer team, who will assist in the daily and/or weekly activities of the project and ensure that the Sponsor is fulfilling its goals and responsibilities.
This team will include the following positions:
Project Coordinator--Keeps all member of the tema working together toward completing the project. Acts as the LHFH liaison with other volunteers.
On-site Building Coordinator--Establishes the construction schedule and makes sure the construction is being completed according to guidelines.
On-site Crew Leaders--Determines schedules for specific jobs (framing, painting, roofing, etc.) and leads a crew of volunteers to complete those tasks. Several crew leaders will be needed.
Volunteer Coordinator--Coordinates the recruitment of volunteer labor.
Fundraising Coordinator--Organizes and collects all project payments, receipts, and contributions.
Publicity Coordinator--Promotes the project, including special events such as groundbreaking and dedication, within the organization and througout the community.
Food and Refreshment Coordinator--Provides food, water, and refreshments to volunteers during the construction period.
Volunteer Registrar-- Records names of all volunteers on-site each workday; makes sure volunteers are wearing nametags and directed to their respective crew leader.
Project Photographer-- Take photographs of the construction process and special ceremonies.
Safety Coordinator--Maintains an inventory of safety supplies such as goggles, hardhats, etc; promotes a safe and tidy building site.
Family Liaison--Build a relationship with the partner family; introduces them to volunteers and involves them in the process of building their home.
Devotional Coordinator--Responsible for scheduling a person to lead devotions each workday on site.
Lexington Habitat for Humanity wants your sponsorship to be not only a financial contribution, but also an energizing experience for your organization.
