Cancelled: Shamrock Shuffle 3K Virtual Run

We are deeply disappointed that the race, in partnership with the Lexington St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival, had to be cancelled. Our staff love this fun event and the incredible way it helps us build and repair homes every year. However, we simply must lean on guidance from local, state and federal officials. We are so grateful for the patience and kindness you have shown us as we navigate this evolving situation. Please read below for more information. If you have urgent questions, please reach out to us at

Even though we are not able to gather on Saturday, the 14th Annual Shamrock Shuffle 3K lives on! Much like campuses and conferences around the world are moving to online, all shufflers are invited to participate in a virtual run! Here’s how it works:

1. Run Or Walk. A virtual race can be run (or walked!) anytime and anywhere, even indoors on a treadmill.

2. Submit Your Time. Please email your full name and time for walking or running 1.86 miles to by March 31. You may also submit time for others in your group. Like in previous years, your time will then appear on our online race results page.

3. Win Awards! We will reach out to those who won and provide an opportunity for winners to pickup their award. Awards will be given out to the top three males and females in each of the following divisions: overall, ages 4-7, 8-11, 12-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, and 80+.

The majority of shuffle swag has already been picked up. However, those who have not received their shirt, bib and other amenities can pick them up during one of these windows at the Lexington Habitat ReStore at 451 Southland Drive in Lexington. If needed, we may schedule more dates.
Friday, March 13 from 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Wednesday, March 18 from 2:00 - 6:00

We want to see your Shamrock Shuffle Spirit! Submit your photos to by March 31 and we will have an online vote for the Best Costume and Best Dressed Pet!

100% of the net proceeds help build and repair homes through Lexington Habitat for Humanity. We are grateful for your support as we shuffle for shelter. As noted in the registration process, we have a no refund policy. This includes events canceled for exceptional conditions, as the funds for the event have already been spent in preparation for race day.

If you have urgent questions, please reach out to us at

Thank you for your patience,
The Lexington Habitat Shamrock Team
