Pat Smith Endowment Fund

Pat Smith was among the 49 passengers killed when the Comair flight crashed on takeoff from Bluegrass Airport in Lexington on Sunday, August 27, 2006.

Pat had served as Board President of Lexington Habitat and remained an active member of its Board of Directors. He also served on the Board of Habitat for Humanity International. Pat volunteered, raised funds and organized Habitat missions to Ghana, South Africa, Mexico, Northern Ireland, India and Sri Lanka. Thousands of people are in safe, decent homes today as a result of Pat’s selfless work. The Pat Smith Endowment fund was established, by Lexington Habitat and Pat's family, to honor his legacy.

This fund serves the mission of Lexington Habitat and

Global Village trips. Individual and corporate contributions  help ensure this mission continues.
