Lexington Habitat for Humanity strives to build a Board of Directors that reflects diverse experience and perspectives from across our community. In the current recruitment cycle, the Board Development Committee is especially interested in candidates with backgrounds in banking, legal services, retail operations, media or communications, government relations or advocacy, technology, and nonprofit fundraising or philanthropy. These areas represent capabilities that will help strengthen the board’s ability to support the organization’s strategic priorities.

All applications will be reviewed by the Board Development Committee. Select candidates will be invited to participate in interviews with Committee members.

Finalists chosen by the Board Development Committee will be submitted for consideration by the LHFH Board of Directors at the May 26, 2026 Board Meeting. The four-year terms of the newly appointed board members will begin on July 1, 2026.

The deadline to apply is 5:00 P.M. on April 10, 2026.

April 27 through May 4 – Interviews with Board Development Committee
May 26 – Final candidates presented to Board of Directors for approval
