Application Process

Submitting your application is easy! Simply complete the fields below, upload your letter of interest and a resume that includes work and volunteer experience. Upon submission, you will receive a confirmation email. Please make sure you provide an email address and phone number that will help us get in touch with you. All applications will be reviewed by the Board Development and Executive Committees. We hope to provide an interactive review process to allow the committee members and individual applicants to get to know each other and determine a good fit. A short list of candidates will be selected from the candidate pool and asked to participate in an interview.

 

Following the interview process, candidates who have been invited and agree to serve will be submitted for consideration to the full Board of Directors at the May meeting. Successful candidates will be notified in the days following this meeting, they will participate in an orientation process and their term will begin with the new fiscal year, July 1.

April 23: Applicants identified for interview

April 29 - May 17: Board of Directors applicant interviews

May 28: Board of Directors votes on and appoints new Directors

July 1: New Directors begin their term

It is important to understand the expectations of and commitment each Director makes to Lexington Habitat for Humanity. Although this is an unpaid, volunteer position, there are commitments Directors must meet to make this a meaningful experience for everyone involved.
