Lexington Habitat Events: Shamrock Shuffe 3K

Since 2006, we have invited walkers and runners of all ages to join us in Downtown Lexington for the Shamrock Shuffle 3K! This road race precedes Lexington's St. Patrick's Day Parade and Festival. It is our largest event of the year and net proceeds benefit LHFH.

Home Dedications

At the end of each build, we host a home dedication with the family, volunteers, sponsors and the LHFH team. The family is presented to their keys to their new home and we celebrate their achievement. In June, we hosted out first ever virtual home dedication to celebrate Patrick, Stacy and their children achieving homeownership. Watch here.

Donated Goods

We accept donations of new and used home goods, appliances, furniture and building materials that meet minimum standards. View what we can and cannot accept here.

Shop Online

We launched an e-commerce site for the first time this year. Our online shopping option features a variety of items available for curbside pickup. View our online store here.

Marketing

We drive traffic to the ReStore through a variety of efforts including radio ads, print ads, social media, email and more. View a recent ReStore advertisement here.

Paint Recycling Program

In 2008, we received a grant to help start a latex paint bulking or "paint recycling" program.  Since then we have bulked over 1,000 batches of paint, saving 122,000+ partial gallons of paint (donated by the community) from the landfill in Lexington. That equates to over 300 tons of material... the weight of three Boeing 757 airplanes! The paint is then sold at the ReStore to support the mission of LHFH. Watch here to learn more.
