LEXINGTON (March 18, 2024) – Lexington Habitat for Humanity invites community members with a heart for affordable housing to apply to join their Board of Directors. They are seeking applicants with a variety of backgrounds, experiences and talents. Applications will be accepted through April 19, 2024 at www.lexhabitat.org/boardapplication.
The Board of Directors sets the organization’s strategic direction, makes high-level policies and supports the vision of a world where EVERYONE has a decent place to live. Additional details regarding expectations can be found on the application. Incoming Board members will be elected in May 2024 and begin their term in July 2024.
The Lexington Habitat Board of Directors helps shape housing in Lexington and members will be among those who are passionate about housing affordability. The current Executive Committee members include McKay Moore (LRC Real Estate) as Board Chair, Chris Farris (Billings Law Firm) as Vice Chair, Stephen Sanders (Appalachian Citizens’ Law Center, Inc.) as Secretary and Kyle Wicker (Cumberland Valley National Bank and Trust) as Treasurer.
